Nixon Peabody’s Affordable Housing team is seeking an attorney with five to seven years’ expertise with affordable housing transactions. Qualified candidates will have substantial transactional experience representing nonprofit and for-profit developers in building, acquiring and financing multifamily and commercial properties as well as a mission-driven orientation to housing and community development. A comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and New York City affordable housing and community development programs and regulations is required. Qualified candidates will also have strong academic credentials, superb judgment and communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent client services. Nixon Peabody's Affordable Housing team helps shape housing policy and anticipate issues to keep affordable housing investments on track, recognizing that affordable, quality housing is essential to any thriving community. Our knowledge and experience of the development, financing, and regulation of affordable and public housing is unmatched. In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position is as follows. New York, NY: $300,000 to $335,000 In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range is Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimate of the annual salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.
